Open arc self-protection automatic hardfacing is a welding method can have alloy materials ith special properties welded on the easy to wear parts surface. It is characterized by using self protection flux cored wire to do welding on the metal surface, also the solid cored can change into protective gas in the heat to protect the welding beads. In addition, it also has the advantages of cold welding process, welding parts do not need preheat and heat treatment after welding. Because of its rapid cooling, it can produce finer carbide crystal, thereby improving the wear resistance of parts.

Open arc is the relative to submerged arc, wear plate wear resistance, spalling resistance, impact resistance and other welding effect, the former works better than the latter in contrast. In the welding method, open arc welding filler rate is fast and easy to welding, welding quality and production cost is better than submerged arc welding.
