In cement production lines, from raw materials to finished cement, the movement of the material caused much corrosion and wear of equipment pipe lining plate and some non-standard parts, chromium carbide overlay plate is one of commonly used wear resistant materials, it can not only reduce the materials consumption, but also can improves the entire production line operation rate.

Chromium carbide wear resistant composite plate products have been developed for 50 years and have been widely used in the recent twenty years because of its excellent wear resistance and moderate impact resistance. At present, there are many different manufacturers are fabricating chrome carbide wear resistant steel plate, but due to different manufacturing techniques, wear resistance of the steel is in accordance with ASTM G65 abrasion test, the wear resistance ability is about 4-15 times higher than ordinary Q235 steel plate (SS400).

Nowadays, most of manufacturers are stalled at the first generation of manufacture technology, and abrasion degree is only about 4-8 times because they cannot effectively overcome problems come from dilution during hardfacing process.
