From the seamless steel pipe and wear resisting layer, abrasion resistant steel pipe is composed of two parts, and wear resistant layer is generally accounted for 1/3-2/3 of the total pipe thickness.

There is a metallurgical bonding between base steel pipe and wear resisting layer, there are two methods to make abrasion resistant steel pipe, one is to do welding directly on the seamless steel pipe, another is to have wear resistant steel plate rolled into wear resistant steel pipe. Inside welding pipe has same working performance with wear resistant steel plate, and can be flange connect or welding connect. Abrasion resistant steel pipe can be made into abrasion resistant elbow or cones as per drawings. Minimum rolling radius is 20 times of the total pipe thickness.
