What is chromium carbide overlay pipe, abrasion resistant steel pipe ?

Chromium carbide overlay abrasion resistant steel pipe is a kind of wear resistant steel pipe with high hardness, 653-740 Vickers hardness (Hardness Rockwell C: 58-62), it is widely used in serious corrosion wear occasions to replace rubber lined steel pipe or chromium alloy cast iron steel pipe. It still can be machined even it has a high hardness, as it also has very high impact toughness, machining, welding and cutting are all available.

In Zhangjiagang YaoYu Wear Resistant Materials Company, we have two ways to produce abrasion resistant steel pipe for our clients. One way is to do welding directly inside the seamless steel pipe, this is much more efficient using inside pipe weld machine, the whole production process is total automatic, and the small pipe diameter this machine can make is 150mm now. Seamless hardfacing steel pipe is recommended instead of pipes fabricated from hardfacing (bimetallic ) steel plate.

The other way to make abrasion resistant steel pipe is to have chromium carbide overlay plate rolled into pipes as required diameter using roller press, and we will weld the joint by hand welding, then polish the welding surface to make it looks good enough.
