The difference between Q235 and Q345 steel plate

Q235 is a carbon structural steel plate and widely used as engineering and building structural material, for producing re-bar or factories house frame, high voltage transmission tower, bridge, vehicle, container ship, boiler, etc.

Q345 is a kind of low alloy steel material (C<0.2%), widely used in bridges, buildings, vehicles, ships, pressure vessel etc. Q stands for yield of this material, 345 refers to the yield strength of this material, and thickness increases with the decreasing of yield point.

1.Yield limit: Q235 yield limit is 235MPa while Q345 yield limit is 345MPa.
2.Alloy content: Q235 is ordinary carbon steel and Q345 is a low alloy steel.
3.The performance and application: The comprehensive mechanical properties of Q345 is good, also has good low temperature performance, ductility and good weld-ability, used as machinery parts in low pressure container, tank, vehicle, crane, mining machinery, power plants, bridges.
4.Q345 is a little bit expensive than Q235
